Reflecting Back!!!

This year has really flown by. Actually the past two years have gone right by. We were married December 2, 2006. We lived in AZ a little over a year, which was a good time enjoying the great weather where we could ride our bikes all year round. The summer was more of a challenge since it was already 90 degrees before the sun came up. We would leave the house around 5:00 to beat the heat. I would ride for about 2hours Craig would then ride back to house drop me off and continue on his ride for another 2-3 hours and I would hop into the pool (very refreshing). We talked over the pro's and con's of raising a family and being in a slower paced environment and our prayers where answered...move back to ID. So March of 2008 we packed our stuff and hauled it on back to Id. We ended staying with my parents for about 8 months while we got jobs and figured out where to live. We really wanted to live closer to work and Meridian was a nice happy medium. We bought a house in Meridian and started building. That was a lot of fun picking out all the stuff. While all of this was going on we were blessed with being grandparents. That has been fun and I especially have enjoyed the ability of being able to see Skylr when ever and not just with pictures and live cam. Having a real close relationship with Autney this has been another great plus to be close to her. Along the way we had the opportunity in June to be sealed in the Boise Temple. Through out the summer we went to lots of fun events. July we attended a Cycling competition and then drove to Twin Falls for the Temple open house. Most of the summer was spent together and with Autney, Tim and Sklyr. Once October came, Autney and I decided to can applesauce. We (accidental) picked 5 bushels instead of 2. Which in turn we ended up with 20 pints and 50 quarts of applesauce to split. Halloween and carving pumpkins were some of the fun things we experienced with Autney, Tim and Skylr during October as well. Craig continued to ride after his accident in mid spring, that is until it started to snow a couple weeks ago. Now he is stationed in the garage on his rollers. At the end of Nov. we were able to move into our house and out of my parents. We are so excited to be in our house and as the days progress so do the amounts of boxes that are unpacked. We celebrated our second anniversary this month. It was very fun, we went out to dinner, dessert to the Mona Lisa and then to the Nutcracker Play. Sunday was our annual Bastian Christmas celebration, the turn out was small but the company was great. This Christmas Eve will be the start of our new family tradition, we will be having a turkey dinner with Autney, Tim and Skylr. Christmas this year will be exciting, family around and snow on the ground. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I will post after the holidays.
